About us
We are a Pentecostal Church passionate about Christ. We belong to Elim Ministries founded by Pastor Hector Nufio whose headquarters are in Guatemala City. Our Church was founded in May 2005 by our pastors Juan & Ana Vazquez. We started in a small basement of a house in the city of Park Ridge, IL. Later we moved to our current location where we rented from a Pentecostal congregation in India. Our pastor Juan Vazquez received his call to the pastorate at the age of eight. He graduated from the Bible Institute of the World Prayer Center in the year 1999. In the year 2000 he immigrated to the United States and shortly after founded the Alpha Church and Omega Elim Ministries. The name of the Church was changed to Alpha & Omega Shalom Church upon registration. Since then, Pastor Juan Vazquez has been in charge of the Alpha & Omega Shalom Church, always being guided by the Holy Spirit. One of the strong ministries of pastors is that of deliverance. The passion of pastors is to preach el gospel and pray for everyone who allows them. In their spare time you can find them in hospitals visiting and praying for the sick.

Mission
Predicar el evangelio a toda criatura como fue ordenado por nuestro Señor Jesucristo, enseñando y capacitando a todos los que han creÃdo en su nombre. "Por tanto, vayan y hagan discÃpulos de todas las naciones, bautizándolos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del EspÃritu Santo, enseñándoles a obedecer todo lo que les he mandado a ustedes. Y les aseguro que estaré con ustedes siempre, hasta el fin del mundo." Mateo 28:19-20
Doctrine
Ministerios Elim, sostiene: ​Que hay un solo Dios y que en su misericordia y amor envió a su Hijo Jesucristo para sacrificio y substituto a favor de los que creemos. Este sacrificio trae como fruto la salvación, la cual es obtenida por nosotros a travez de la fe, sin ninguna intervención de obras humanas. Como parte del plan redentor, la persona del EspÃritu Santo, ha venido para ayudarnos y formar en nosotros la imagen del Señor Jesucristo. ​ Que la iglesia es el cuerpo mÃstico de Cristo y que el Señor es la cabeza y el único mediador entre Dios y los hombres. Para el desarrollo de este cuerpo (la iglesia), el Señor ha depositado dentro del Cuerpo de Cristo, Apóstoles, Profetas, Evangelistas, Pastores y Maestros para que la lleven a madurez; además ha permitido la manifestación de los dones del EspÃritu. La iglesia enseñada y guiada por los ministerios y especialmente por el EspÃritu Santo, cultivará el deseo de estar con el Señor.
